About This Project
When the Madison-based team at Castle and Coal came to us to brand their new men’s clothing shop, we knew we were going to be part of something special. Castle and Coal is part of the new “slow fashion” movement that focuses on ethically-sourced, well-made, high-quality pieces. With a vintage-inspired look that’s both modern and masculine, this on-line shop caters to men looking for a small, curated collection of clothing. To start, we designed a custom, hand-lettered logo to reflect the store’s ethos and style. Then, we built upon the handmade, textural quality of the logo and created business cards, clothing hang tags and concepts for signage, as they hope to eventually open a brick and mortar store.
